11 -17 Projecting or Suspended Signs <br />The maximum permitted sign area, location, characteristics, and number of Projecting or <br />Suspended Signs shall be determined in accordance with Table 11 -1. <br />The following additional regulations shall apply to projecting or suspended signs: <br />A projecting or suspended sign shall not extend more than five (5) feet into the public right -of- <br />way. In no case shall this category of sign be permitted to encroach over a motorized vehicle <br />travel way such a public or private street, alley, or driveway.
