AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE <br />TEXT2016 -00005 and TEXT2016 -00006 <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as follows: <br />Chapter 5 Section 5 -5, Conventional Subdivision Standards <br />DELETE 10' side yard (single) setback in CR, Conventional Subdivision table and REPLACE with <br />20' <br />AMEND Chapter 8, #30 Shooting Range with Outdoor Target Practice to ADD standard letter <br />"o" which would read: Must Comply with Chapter 46 -2, Use of Firearms, of the Cabarrus County <br />Code of Ordinances <br />AMEND Chapter 8, #36 Wireless Telecommunications Services to ADD the following to the <br />definition section: <br />REPEATER -A small receiver /relay transmitter of relatively low power output designed to <br />provide service to areas that are not able to receive adequate coverage directly from a base <br />or primary station. <br />AMEND the first bullet point of Section 5 Aesthetics to read: <br />Towers shall either maintain a galvanized steel finish or be painted a neutral color to blend <br />in with the surrounding area and to reduce visual obtrusiveness. <br />AMEND Section 6 Permit Requirements to read: <br />No wireless telecommunications tower, antennae, or substantial modification shall be <br />erected or established unless and until a Zoning Clearance Permit has been issued pursuant <br />to this Ordinance. <br />A Stealth Antenna or Repeater which does not exceed sixty -five (65) feet in height +s <br />are permitted as of right and does not require a conditional use permit. <br />• Repeaters shall either maintain a galvanized steel finish or be painted a neutral color <br />to blend in with the surrounding area and /or structure and to reduce visual <br />obtrusiveness. Where a pole frame is used, the frame shall be similar and compatible <br />with existing light poles and fixtures in the area. <br />a.
