CABARRUS COUNTY <br />r� <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />*K REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 15 2015 <br />• P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Adoption of the FY16 Cabarrus County Budget - Public Hearing 6:30 <br />P.M. <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />County Manager Mike Downs presented the proposed Cabarrus County budget for FY16 to <br />the Board of Commissioners on Monday, May 18, 2015. A copy of the proposed budget has <br />been on file in the clerk's office since that day and was available for public inspection at the <br />Cabarrus County Governmental Center during regular business hours. The proposed <br />budget was also posted on the County website at <br />https: / /www.cabarruscounty.us /government /departments/ finance /budget /Pages /default.aspx <br />Budget workshop meetings were held in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental <br />Center in Concord on May 26 and 28. A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for June <br />15, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Governmental Center <br />located at 65 Church Street SE in Concord. Citizens are encouraged to attend and to <br />present written or oral comments. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Hold a public hearing. <br />Motion to adopt the Cabarrus County Budget Ordinance for the General Fund, Cabarrus <br />Arena & Events Center Fund, Landfill Fund, 911 Emergency Telephone Fund and the <br />Health Insurance Fund for FY16. <br />Motion to adopt the Cabarrus County Budget Ordinance for the Special Fire Tax and <br />Insurance Fund for FY16. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />10 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />G -1 Page 150 <br />
