CABARRUS COUNTY <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 15 2015 <br />1 <br />�A CA1Lp 1�1�I <br />• P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Historic Courthouse Lease <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cabarrus County leases the use of the Historic Courthouse to Historic <br />Cabarrus, Incorporated and The Arts Council. In addition, there is a <br />Tenant Use Agreement into which all of the same parties have entered. <br />The County in consultation with the two groups has created a draft of a <br />single amended agreement that combines both the lease and the use <br />agreement. The draft agreement will be provided to both parties and staff <br />will be meeting with them to discuss any proposed changes. The final <br />draft will be prepared for the Board's consideration at the regular meeting. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to extend the current Historic Courthouse Lease and the current <br />Tenant Use Agreement for 60 days to allow time to negotiate the new <br />Historic Courthouse Lease and Use Agreement. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
