CABARRUS COUNTY <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 22, 2013 <br />��fiiffJfl /�� <br />6: 30 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Reports <br />SUBJECT: <br />Active Living and Parks Department - Town of Midland Proposal for <br />Wallace Park Operations <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />At the Tuesday, November 13, 2012 Council meeting, Mayor Kitts and <br />David Pugh discussed the projected Wallace Park staff needed for the <br />first 2 -4 years to get the project started. The Midland Council asked that <br />the following information be given to the County Commission to consider <br />regarding Wallace Park (these determined at the November 13 meeting): <br />1. Midland would pay the following amounts for the staff positions: <br />- $28,799 for the first year (This represents half of the cost of the ranger <br />and the full cost of the paddle boat position.) <br />- $15,000 for the second year <br />- $10,000 for the third year <br />2. Once Cabarrus County and Midland do reach an agreement, the Council <br />would like to see bids advertised for the project within 6 months. <br />3.
