Does this require <br />temporary caps to be installed during shipping for each Individual pipe or can the ends of the <br />bundles of pipe be wrapped as a whole until the pipe is installed ?. <br />2. 15300- 1.20.A: States for painting to be in accordance with Division 9, but does not say which <br />trade Is responsible for painting of pipe and hangers. Which trade is responsible for painting of <br />sprinkler piping and devices? <br />3. 15300- 2.3.A.B.1.a: States to use Victaulic Style 009 -EZ. We have had issues with gasket <br />failures for this model coupling. Can a different style or manufacturer be used? <br />4. 15315 -1.4.13 & 1.7.C: These sections as well as others indicate working under the direct <br />supervision of a PE and having calculations sealed by a P.E. The Authority Having Jurisdiction <br />only requires a NICET Level III designer for design and submittals. Will a NICET Level III <br />designer satisfy this requirement? <br />5. 15315 -2.1 & 2.2.A: There are several sections In the specifications that list only Victaulic <br />products. Can Tyco, Viking or Reliable brand products be used as a substitute? <br />6. 15315- 2.2.D: The plans Indicate that the underground supply comes from the discharge side of <br />the existing fire pump located in the adjacent building. The adjacent building has an existing <br />FDC that would supply this building as well. Is a secondary FDC for this building required? <br />7. Sheet FP -2 states to test the existing fire pump. Fire pumps are required to be tested annually <br />by a licensed contractor. Has this pump been tested within the last 12 months? is a copy of the <br />last test report available? Will it be required to perform a pump test under this proposal if the <br />existing fire pump test is current? <br />Signed: Emmitt Black!
