!'1 <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 21, 2011 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />' New Business <br />' SUBJECT: <br />Emergency Mgmt. - Non - Renewal of Fire Protection Contract with the <br />Jackson Park Volunteer Fire Department <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Emergency Management, as directed, annually reviews the contracts for <br />' fire protection for the rural fire districts of Cabarrus County. The Jackson <br />Park Fire District is almost completely surrounded by municipal fire <br />districts that provide fire protection coverage 24 hours a day /7 days per <br />' week. It is recommended that Cabarrus County, in accordance with our <br />contract provisions, send written notice to the Jackson Park Fire <br />Department that the contract for fire protection will not be renewed as of <br />' June 30, 2011.
