L <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 21, 2011 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments - Council for a Sustainable Local Economy <br />' BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Board of Commissioners created the Council for a Sustainable Local <br />Economy in September, 2010 and directed the Chairman, Vice - Chairman <br />' and County Manager to recommend a list of applicants for appointment. <br />The list of nominees is attached. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />' Motion to appoint the following residents to the Council for a Sustainable <br />Local Economy for 1 -year terms ending March 31, 2012: Sherman Greer, <br />Jerry Talbert, Jane MacRae, Sara Estep, Phil Carter, Marc Brun, Jimmy <br />' Morrison, Rod Townley, William Robert Higbee and Shawn Fleming. <br />Motion to appoint the following residents to the Council for a Sustainable <br />Local Economy for 2 -year terms ending March 31, 2013: Sylvia Simpson, <br />Steven Blinsink, Lori Maguire, Shannon Elmore - Wright (exception to the <br />"service on multiple boards" provision - Shannon goes off the Harrisburg <br />' Fire Advisory Board June 30, 2011) , Christian Schmidt II, Whit Moose, Jr. <br />(exception to the "service on multiple boards" provision - Whit serves on <br />the Mt. Pleasant Planning Board & Board of Adjustment - term expires 6- <br />' 30 -13), Chris Pinto and Grace Mynatt, including an exception to the <br />Appointment Policy for Ms. Wright and Mr. Moose. <br />' Motion to appoint Andrew Propst as an alternate for a 1 -year term ending <br />March 31, 2012. <br />I H -4 Page 332 <br />
