P.L. 111-5 requires projects to be selected ao later than one year <br />after enactrr~ent. States need funds to move large projects like the one I have detailed in <br />this letter much more quickly in order to stimulate job growth and meet our growing <br />infrastructure needs. <br />Thank you for your leadership in advancing infrastnicture spending through the American <br />Recovery and Reinvestment Act and I look forward to working with you to advance <br />North Carolina's critical needs. <br />Sincerely, <br />ugene A.
