Land Use Plan for the Harrisburg Planning Area <br />LandDesign PN- 1008319 <br />September 2009 Invoice Period <br />Progress Summary <br />The following is a summary of the work completed by the LandDesign team for <br />the period indicated above. <br />Phase I: Inventory and Analysis <br />E. Inventory and Assessment of Existing Conditions <br />• Research existing conditions intended to provide a snapshot of the study <br />area <br />• Attend meeting with Town engineering staff to discuss utilities <br />• Conduct analysis of demographic, housing and economic conditions <br />• Prepare documentation in the form of a detailed assessment including all <br />topics described in the scope of services; later in phase IV, this <br />documentation will be incorporated into the draft plan <br />F. Advisory Committee Meeting <br />• Discuss agenda and prepare presentation template for upcoming Advisory <br />Committee Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to introduce the team, <br />schedule and project to the committee. Also, initial feedback and findings <br />will be shared with the committee along with a discussion of issues <br />G. Stakeholder Interviews <br />Prepare list of prompt questions based on the list supplied by the client of <br />stakeholder groups. Stakeholders include citizens and business owners as <br />well as representatives of town/county departments, institutions, public <br />agencies, and non-profit organizations. They represent the following <br />interests: schools, utilities, transportation, emergency services, real estate, <br />local businesses including racing-related industries, elected officials, <br />economic development, parks and environmental <br />Review list of stakeholder interviewees and schedule <br />I. Mapping <br />• Conducted mapping using GIS to graphically represent the existing <br />conditions of the study area <br />J.
