CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 6/16/08 <br />Agenda Item # G- 13 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance Department -Budget Amendment (School Construction Fund and School Bond <br />Fund - $100,000) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />On May 19, 2008 a budget amendment was approved by the Board of Commissioners to <br />transfer $833,523.87 from the GO Bond Fund to the School Construction Fund for the <br />construction of the Bus Garage and bus purchases. The School Board has had a change <br />in their plans and are requesting $100,000 be transferred from the School Bus Garage <br />budget back to the $98 Million School Bond budget to purchase Smartboards at Concord <br />High and Northwest Cabarrus High Schools. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br />Motion to adopt budget amendment. <br />Attachments <br />^X Yes ^ No <br />Submitted By: Pamela S.
