CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 8/18/08 <br />Agenda Item # G"5 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Old Bethel School -Disposition <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cabarrus County currently owns the site (land and buildings) known as the "Old Bethel <br />School" located on Hwy 24-27. Currently there are no plans or funding identified in the <br />County's Capital Improvement Plan for the restoration of this property. Pursuant to <br />N.C.G.S. 115C-518, the proceeds from any sale of real property shall be applied to reduce <br />the County's school capital indebtedness. There have been discussions with the Midland <br />Town Council concerning the future of the property.
