<br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />To: <br /> <br />From: <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />Kassie Goodson Watts/Planner <br />Consent Agreement and School Capacity Information for the Shiloh Village Subdivision <br />12/9/2006 <br /> <br />Subject: <br />Date: <br /> <br />The Shiloh Village Subdivision preliminary plat extension was approved by the Cabarrus County Planning <br />and Zoning Board on October 19th, 2006. This subdivision is approved for 30 single family lots on + / -10.04 <br />acres located on Shiloh Church Road. The specifics of the agreement are as follows: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Developer - Shiloh Ridge Development, 166 Fern Haven Lane, Mooresville, NC 281117 <br />Payment of $4034 per lot will be due at Final Platting <br />Proposed build out schedule is 30 lots platted in 2007 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The APFO worksheet completed by Mr. Robert Kluttz with Cabarrus County Schools indicates that schools <br />impacted by the Shiloh Village Subdivision are currently functioning at the following capacities: <br /> <br />W.R. Odell Elementary School- 140.98% <br />Harris Road Middle School- 101.98% <br />Northwest Cabarrus High School- 110.67% <br /> <br />Including previously approved subdivisions, these schools will be functioning at the following capacity upon <br />completion of the Shiloh Village SubdivislOn project: <br /> <br />W.R. Odell Elementary School- 114.20% <br />Harris Road Middle School- 129.89% <br />Northwest Cabarrus High School- 142.53% <br /> <br />The increased capacity of the opening of the W.R. Odell Elementary replacement school in 2007 as well as <br />the opening of Charles Boger Elementary in 2007 will provide some relief to W.R. Odell Elementary. The <br />Northwest Cabarrus High School gained 150 seats in 2006 due to renovations and remodeling. <br /> <br />The 15 Year Facility Plan identifies the need for a new high school (2009), a new middle school (2009), and a <br />new elementary school (2009) in the northwest area. These projects have been moved up on the Revised <br />Critical Facility Projects list (dated October 2006) due to projected growth in the W.R. Odell, Harris Rd., and <br />NWCHS districts. This new RCFP list has not yet been voted on by the Board of Education. Funding has not <br />been identified. <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Schools operating at 110% capacity are considered to be operating at the maximwn <br />capacity. <br /> <br />The Subdivision Lot Inventory Spreadsheet has been updated through December 2006. <br /> <br />G-lo <br />
