8 <br /> <br />COPY OF A RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> OF THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> A motion was made by and seconded by <br /> for the adoption of the following Resolution, and upon <br />being put to a vote was duly adopted: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus propose to make certain street and highway <br />improvements consisting of the realignment of Christenbury Road (SR 1447) to align with <br />Concord Mills Boulevard; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation and the County of Cabarrus'propose <br />to enter into an Agreement for the construction of the aforementioned highway <br />improvement whereby the County of Cabarrus agrees to design the project, prepare the <br />project plans, acquire the right of way and adjust utilities, award the construction contract, <br />and supervise project construction; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said agreement further provides for the Department of Transportation to <br />reimburse the County of Cabarrus a lumP-sum amount of $200,000 toward the construction <br />cost of said road upon completion of the project and acceptance by the Department; and, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said project in Cabarrus'County, is <br />hereby formally approved by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of <br />Cabarrus and that the Manager and Clerk of this County are hereby empowered to sign and <br />execute the Agreement with the Department of Transportation.' <br /> <br /> I, , Clerk of the County of Cabarrus do hereby certify that <br />the foregoing is a true and correct copy of excerpts from the Minutes of the meeting of the <br />Board of County Commissioners duly held on the ~ day of <br /> ,20__. <br /> <br />WITNESS, my hand and the official seal of said County on this the <br /> ,20__. <br /> <br />day of. <br /> <br />SEAL) <br /> <br />Clerk <br />County of Cabarrus <br />North Carolina <br /> <br /> <br />
