In the last paragraph, I was quoted as "'The current fiscal year has frozen our program due to the budget, and we are not able to allow more people,' she said." The paragraph continues and appears to credit the quote on the next six lines to me. I would like to stress that at no time dudng our conversation was any mention made regarding my political affiliation or my views of the Republicans or Democrats. I am devastated that the article was wdtten to appear that I made the last quote in the article. I never bring politics into the office. I rarely ever mention my political affiliation. I would never make a statement about my opinion in regard how I felt a specific political party was managing things. To be quite honest I do not know the political affiliation of the county commissioners. I am requesting that a correction appear in the paper attributing this quote to the person who actually made it and that I be given an apology for the article being wdtten in a manner that Would make it appear that I had made this statement. I personally feel that the way the article appeared damaged my professional reputation and harmed my relationship with the county where I have worked for over 28 years. ! look forward to your response, Sandra S.
