NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING A <br /> RECREATIONAL FACILITY TO BE FINANCED <br /> WITH THE PROCEEDS OF TAX-EXEMPT BONDS <br />TO BE ISSUED BY THE CABARRUS COUNTY INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES <br />AND POLLUTION CONTROL FINANCING AUTHORITY <br /> <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Cabarrus County Industrial Facilities and <br />Pollution Control Financing Authority (the "Authority") has determined to issue its Tax-Exempt <br />Adjustable Mode Recreational Facilities Revenue Bonds (the "Bonds'~), and loan the proceeds <br />thereof to the Cannon Memorial Young Men's Christian Association, a North Carolina nonprofit <br />corporation (the "YMCA "), in the principal amount not to exceed $9,500,000, for the purpose of <br />financing of all or a portion of the cost of (1) constructing, equipping and furnishing a <br />recreational facility located in Concord, North Carolina, (2) renovating the YMCA's existing <br />recreational facility located in Karmapolis, North Carolina and (3) other improvements related to <br />the tax-exempt purpose of the YMCA (collectively, the "Project"). <br /> <br /> The Project will be located at Afton Village near the intersection of 1-85 and Crisco Road <br />in Concord, Cabarms County, North Carolina and at 101 YMCA Drive, Kannapolis, Cabarrus <br />County, North Carolina. The approximate cost of the Project is $9,500,000 and the maximum <br />aggregate principal amount of the Bonds proposed to be issued by the Authority is $9,500,000. <br />The Project will be owned and operated by the YMCA. <br /> <br /> .Please take notice that the Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing in the <br />Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Cabarms County Government Center, on Monday, July <br />22, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, at which any person may <br />be heard regarding the proposed issuance of the Bonds for the purpose of paying for the Project. <br />Following the heating, the Board of Commissioners intends to consider and take action on <br />proposals to approve the issuance of the Bonds for the purpose of paying for the Project. <br /> <br /> Any person wishing to comment in writing on the proposed Bonds and the Project should <br />do so, within fourteen (14) days after the date of publication of this notice, to the Authority and <br />to the County Commissioners, c/o Clerk to the Cabarms County Board of Commissioners, 65 <br />church Street SE, Concord, North Carolina 28025. <br /> <br />Date: <br /> <br />/s/Frankie F..Bonds <br /> <br />Frankie F.
