CER ASSOCIATION (~'CSA"), a <br />North CaroLina youth atlSetic organization, the CITY D~ cONCORD, a North Carolina <br />Munic/pal Corporation (the "Cit?) and CABARRUS COUNTY, a. pglifical' subdivision <br />of the State of North Carolina (the "County") (hereafter, this docnment may be referred <br />to as the "Agreement"). ' <br /> <br />WITNESSETlq <br /> <br /> Wl~.REAS, the County encourages public and private cooperative funding of <br />public recreation facilities and impr~ ovements; and <br /> <br /> WI~,REAS, on or about the 23rd day 0fFebruary, 2000, the County'entered in <br />to a 25 year lease with the State of North Carolina (the "Lease").for approximately 39.60 <br />acres adjacent'to Stonewall Jackson, Cabarms Coimty, N.C., for the purpose of. <br />developing a soccer.c})mplex consisting of approximately i 1 n~w socfier fields and all <br />necessary and attendant grading, seedln§, drainage, outbuilclings, infrastructures and <br />facilities including without limitation, parking, restmoms and storage facilifiea (the <br />"Complex"); and <br /> <br /> ~REAS, the Complex w/ii be accessible for use by ~ residents o£the <br />County, including without limitation, residents of the City and individuals participating in <br />soccer teams and activities .sponsored.by CSA; .iherefore, CSA and the City, pursuant.to <br />the terms and conditions, niore fully set forth below, w/2sh to 9ontn~bute fin.aucial.ly t. oward- <br />the design arid development of the Complex and have agreed, over a period 6f3 years <br />beg{nniug January 1, 2001, to each contn~bute $300,000 in cash toward deferral of <br />Complex design and construction co .sts, for a combined total contribution of $600,000 by <br />the City and CSA. <br /> <br /> NOW TI:rF~REFORE, in consideration of the premises and other good and <br />valuable consideration aclmowledged by the parties to be snfficient, the City, CSA and <br />the County hereby agree as follows.: . <br /> <br />COUNTY, CITY AND CSA RESI~ONSIBII,!TIES AND.
