CCTS) <br /> <br />This Contract made and entered into this 17 day of June, 2002, by and between the Cabarrus County <br />Government and its coordinated transportation system, hereinafter referred to as CCTS, and <br />Midstate Transport Inc., hereinafter referred to as CONTRACTOR, whose official representatives <br />and contacts are as follows: <br /> <br />For Cabarrus County and the CCTS System <br />James Sasser, Sr. Transportation Planner <br />P.O. Darryl Brooks: President <br />710 Char Meek Lane <br />Charlotte, NC 28205 <br />Telephone: (704)334-3473 <br />Fax: (704)334-1172 <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />Whereas, CCTS desires to purchase transportation services at a coordinated and economical rate <br /> structure, under the terms and conditions set forth herein; and <br /> <br />Whereas, Contractor desires to provide such transportation and to enter into this Contract under the <br /> terms and conditions set forth herein; and <br /> <br />Whereas, CCTS and Contractor mutually desire to enter into a flexible agreement under which they <br /> can work together to maximize service quality and system efficiency; and to explore <br /> innovative funding and contracting mechanisms; with the mutual goals of establishing new <br /> transportation services and expanding mobility choices within the community;. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual agreement, the following articles are set forth: <br /> <br />ARTICLE 1. CONTRACTOR'S DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS: <br /> <br />Ao <br /> <br />The Contractor shall manage and operate the CCTS system throughout the term of this contract <br />under the overall direction of the Mobility Management Office of the County Planning Services <br />Department and the CCTS Transportation Advisory Board. Managing and operating the system <br />is understood to include employing staff and drivers; providing office and parking facilities; <br />maintaining, scheduling, and dispatching vehicles. It also includes providing all types of <br />insurance required; maintaining financial and operating records; coordinating, scheduling and <br />providing high-quality and efficient transportation services; and all other requirements of the <br />Scope Of Work. <br /> <br /> It is mutually understood and agreed that should the County desire to partner or find it <br />necessary to provide any portion of the contracted elements of the CCTS operation by the <br />contractor that an appropriate adjustment to revenue for that segment of service will be <br />implemented. <br /> <br /> <br />
