May 23, 2002 <br /> <br />ICABAR[ US COUN I <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: Board of COmmissioners <br />FROM: Susie Bonds ~[~ <br /> <br />RE: EDC Board Appointments - Exception to County's Appointment Policy <br /> <br />On May 20, the Board approved the appointments to the EDC Board as submitted by EDC. This <br />is to advise that, according to the current EDC Board roster, Gary R. Ruth (one of the approved <br />appointees) is not a resident of Cabarms County. <br /> <br />As you will recall, the Board amended its. Appointment Policy in November 2001 to require <br />County residency for appointees "except in extraordinary circumstances or where otherwise <br />restricted by legislative authority."
