Resolun'on No. 2002-18 <br /> <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> RESOLUTION <br />DIRECTING RESOLUTION OF UNCERTAIN BOUNDARY BETWEEN <br />MECKLENBURG COUNTY AND CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, some uncertainty exists as to. the precise location of the boundary, at certain <br /> places, between Mecklenburg and Cabarms Counties; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, the Cabarms County Board of Commissioners, pursuant to N.C.G.S. 153A- <br /> 18, appointed Jonathan Marshall to be a special commissioner to supervise the surveying, <br /> marking and mapping of the boundary between Mecklenburg ~ud Cabarms Counties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mecklenburg County also appointed a special commissioner to supervise <br />the surveying, marking and mapping; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAs, the special commissioner for Mecklenburg County and the' special <br />commissioner for Caban'us County have now agreed upon a proposed boundary between the two <br />counties, a copy of a map showing the Proposed bour~dary being attached as Exhibit A and <br />incorporated herein by reference ("Map"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County has .agreed that <br />the boundary between Mecklenburg County and Cabarrus County shall be as shown on the Map; <br />now, therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County B6ard of Commissioners does hereby authorize <br />Jonathan Marshall to commission the survey of the boundary between Mecklenburg County and <br />Cabarrus County as shown on the Map attached as Exhibit A once approved by Mecklenburg <br />County; and be it further <br /> <br />RBCWB: 131445.Doc\4/30~02 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
