Our program analyzes the bills for duplication of <br />service, appropriateness of service and for injury only related services; then reduces the <br />invoice to the appropriate charge after applying our provider discounts. As opposed to <br />the industry standard C.C.S.'s bill review program avoids utilizing an outside vendor for <br />the task and therefore, the County does not incur any additional fees. <br /> <br />Enclosed please find a medical expense, savings report for Cabarrus COunty. The report <br />reflects that 992 bills were analyzed for a total invoiced amount of $148,092.19 for <br />workers' compensation medical expenses. The amount paid alter reducing the charge to <br />the fee schedule and then applying our below the fee schedule discounts obtained through <br />provider agreements is $123,111.83. <br /> <br />Compensation Claims Solutions includes the bill review program in-our administration <br />service fee to the County. As our customer for 07/01/01 - 06//30/02 Cabarrus County's <br />savings in workers' compensation claim medical expenses is $24,980.36. <br /> <br />C.C.S.'s commit is to deliver to the County the highest level of claim service possible and <br />we are prepared to "go the extra mile" to exceed your expectations.
