I:LESOLUTION OF RECOM2VI]~NDATION FOR Tlq-l~, WATER AND SEWER <br />AUTI:[ORITY OF CABARRUS COUNTY TO BEcOM2E TffE I~.GIONAL <br />STORM WATER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM PROV'EDER <br /> <br />WI{EREAS, Federal and State goveraraent is now requiring the local jurisdictions to be <br /> responsible for storm water management; and ~ <br /> <br />The Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County '(WSACC) is au <br />entity comprised of representatives of the jurisdictions Within Cabarms <br />County; and <br /> <br />The Board of Directors (Board) of WSACC have a strong desire to assist <br />the local jurisdictions in their'needs to develop the required storm water <br />management; and <br /> <br />The Board feels that WSACC can play a vital role and be a good source of <br />assistance to the jurisdictions to aid in the implementation and permitting <br />ofregi0nal storm water. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of Directors of the Water and <br />Sewer Authority of Cabarms County that: <br /> <br />WSACC should be. the regional storm water entity to deal with- <br />permitting/implementation on a regional basis in order to assist the local <br />jurisdictions with storm water m .anagemen.t. <br /> <br />The level of service to be provided by WSACC will be identified through <br />contract. <br /> <br />The local jurisdictions respond a~ to Whether they Would like for WSACC <br />to take on the regional role. <br /> <br />Adopted this the -6aOJ day of ~/~.&ca ,2002. <br /> <br />Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County <br /> <br />ATTEfi'T: <br /> <br />J,~.'~ Y.
