The charge of the Cabarms County Parks, Recreation,
and Property Maintenanace Department is to provide fa-
cilities and a wide range of programs, activities, and events
for all residents of Cabarms County on a year-round basis.
This is best accomplished by providing an umbrella of ser-
vices through cooperative efforts with other governmental
and local agencies, school systems, and volunteer groups;
optimum utilization of the County's existing resources; and
the provision of support and advice to others who provide
recreational services. By working together in our commu-
nity, expanded services and additional facilities are made
available at a lower cost to the taxpayer.
The Parks, Recreation, and Property Maintenance De-
parhnent attempts to enrich the lives of all County residents
by providing quality facilities and the type of programs that
educate, develop creativity and skills, and are just plain fun.

Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners
1996 - 1997
Sue Casper, Chair
Carolyn Carpenter, Vice Chair
Kenneth Mills
Jeffrey Barnhart
Franklin Niblock

Cabarrus County Manager
Frank W.
