FA. <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />1"BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />April 15, 2024 <br />6:30 PM <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Emergency Management - NC Tier I I Competitive Grant Award and Budget Amendment <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />NC Tier II grants provide Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPC's) with funding to <br />expand the scope of their hazardous materials emergency preparedness programs through <br />response planning, training and related exercises to include fixed facility planning. Tier II is an <br />annual federal report that is mandatory for facilities to file that store hazardous <br />materials/chemicals. The grant award is in the amount of $2,000.00 and does not require a <br />match.
