Should signs fall into disrepair, the sign <br />applicant shall be found in violation of the <br />standard listed above and subject to the <br />penalties set forth in Section 12 -27 of this <br />Ordinance. <br />10. All components of the sign, including the sign face, <br />stakes, posts, frames or any other supporting <br />element must be removed from the property upon <br />permanent cessation of the business operation. <br />Permanent off - premise signage not related to nonprofit, <br />noncommercial organizations and not following the guidelines listed <br />above is prohibited. <br />PART IV. TABLE OF SIGN REQUIREMENTS. <br />Section 11 -7. Regulations. <br />Please see Table Six, "Regulations for on- premise signage by zoning district - <br />number & maximum size ", at the end of this Chapter. <br />PART V. HOW TO OBTAIN A PERMIT. <br />Section 11 -8. Procedure for obtaining a sign permit. <br />Sign permits are obtained from the office of the Zoning Administrator and run <br />with the life of the sign. Additionally, all signs require a building permit from the <br />County Inspections Division of the Planning & Zoning Department. And, those <br />signs which are illuminated also require an electrical permit, also available from <br />the Inspections Department. The applicant must bring a drawing of the sign <br />showing size and location. <br />PART VI. MISCELLANEOUS REGULATIONS RELATING TO ALL <br />SIGNAGE. <br />Section 11 -9. Separate regulations relating to signage. <br />• Illumination <br />No flashing or intermittent illumination shall be used on an advertising sign or <br />structure. Time and temperature units and electronic/ digital message signs are <br />excluded.
