(h) Safety - This service shall include but not be limited to, alarm systems, detection <br />systems (metal or otherwise), monitoring systems, scanning systems, fire doors, fire <br />alarms, panic bars, sprinkler systems, emergency lights, exit signage, fire extinguishers <br />and any devices or equipment installed or used by any Party for purposes of insuring <br />safety and security on School Facilities. <br />(i) Food Service /Refrigeration - This service shall include but not be limited to, <br />boilers, coolers, ranges, refrigerators, walk -in coolers, cookers, ovens of any sort <br />(including convection and microwave), garbage disposal and compaction, fryers, <br />rotisseries, broilers, slicers, batter mixers, all kitchen appliances of whatever kind or <br />nature, including warmers, chillers, braising pans, stoves and ice machines. The Child <br />Nutrition Department of the Cabarrus Board and the City of Kannapolis shall be invoiced <br />separately for all parts (but not labor), repaired or replaced by that Department <br />pertaining to this specific category. <br />All of the above maintenance and repair services shall hereafter be collectively referred <br />to as the "Services." The Department's responsibility is only to provide Services to the <br />extent that sufficient funding is available. <br />4. Department Responsibilities /School Park Facilities: <br />a. The Director of the Facilities Maintenance Department for Cabarrus County Schools <br />( "Director ") will have responsibility for providing maintenance and repairs (as more fully <br />defined below) for all school park facilities. The Director is also authorized to enter into <br />agreements with third parties for maintenance and repair of school park facilities. <br />b. Reimbursement Rate - All costs of maintenance and repairs completed at school <br />park sites will be reimbursed to Cabarrus County Schools by the County for all materials <br />and rental equipment expense for equipment not owned by Cabarrus County Schools. <br />In the case of third party agreements, the County will be billed for actual invoice costs <br />including all applicable taxes. <br />C. The maintenance and repairs services provided by the Department shall include, <br />but are not limited to: <br />1) Athletic Turf Improvement — This service shall include bi- annual seeding, fertilizing, <br />irrigation repairs /winterization and associated irrigation wells /holding tanks, weeding, <br />aerations and topdressing of all school /park athletic fields. Mowing and trimming turf <br />elements are performed in the regular maintenance and repair agreement. This <br />Agreement does not include athletic field work, such as lining, dragging, care of bases, <br />nets and goals, etc. <br />Page 3 of 9 <br />G -6 <br />Attachment number 1 <br />Page 203 <br />
