■ • 1. 1 / 1 <br />to <br />In budget and finance, the Executive Director will: <br />1. Be responsible for developing and maintaining sound financial practices. <br />2. Work with the staff, Finance Committee, and the board in preparing a budget; see that the organization <br />operates within budget guidelines. <br />3. Ensure that adequate funds are available to permit the organization to carry out its work. <br />4. Jointly, with the president and secretary of the board of directors, conduct official correspondence of <br />the organization, and jointly, with designated officers, execute legal documents. <br />Qualifications: <br />Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Public Administration, Planning or <br />related field; five (5) years' experience as a Senior Administrative Officer of which two (2) must have been at a <br />supervisory level; Planning and working with the Board of Directors and elected officials; Non - profit <br />administrative and fiscal management and ability to create, develop and monitor budgets; Must be bondable, <br />able to administer and write grants and work with low- income population; Basic computer skills including word <br />processing, e -mail, Internet usage, spreadsheets or other business related applications; Must submit and <br />satisfactorily pass a pre - employment drug test and criminal background check; Must live within a 50 mile radius <br />of the main office (Salisbury, NC) within six (6) months after hiring; Attend periodic conferences; Possess valid <br />driver's license and reliable transportation. <br />Preferred: Master's degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Public Administration, Planning or related <br />field and above minimum qualifications. <br />Signature of Employee Accepting Position Date <br />Revised December 2012 <br />F -6 <br />Attachment number 4 <br />Page 109 <br />
