Communication <br />• Keep the Executive Director and Finance Committee apprised of the organization's <br />financial status and any critical financial issues involving the agency and its programs. <br />• Attend Board of Director meetings to present monthly financials and to address any <br />questions that may arise in the absence of the Board Treasurer. <br />• Attend Leadership Team meetings. <br />• Meet monthly with the Executive Director and Program Directors and provide relevant <br />financial information. <br />® Meet with the Policy Council and any other Advisory Board committees as required by <br />the Executive Director. <br />® Meet monthly with the Board Treasurer to review the financials. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: <br />• Experience in financial management of a non - profit agency <br />• Understanding of fund accounting <br />• Solid computer skills, ability to learn new software easily <br />• Working knowledge of The Financial Edge a major plus <br />• Attention to detail as well as the ability to see the big picture <br />• Strong organizational and analytical skills <br />• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines <br />• Initiative and independence <br />• Written and oral communication skills <br />QUALIFICATIONS: <br />Minimum: Bachelors degree in accounting with 5 years accounting expertise and 3 years of <br />accounting experience with a non - profit. Possess excellent oral, written communication and <br />organization skills. <br />Preferred: Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant plus 5 years <br />accounting expertise and 5 years of accounting experience with a non - profit.
