Cabarrus County Senior Centers <br />Advisory Council <br />By -Laws <br />Article I. Section 1. The name of this organization shall be the Cabarrus County <br />Senior Centers Advisory Council, hereinafter referred to as the Advisory <br />Council. <br />Section 2. The address of the Advisory Council shall be P.O. Box <br />707, 331 Corban Avenue, SE, Concord, North Carolina 28026. <br />Article II. Section 1. The Mission of the Advisory Council shall be: <br />A. To promote wellness of older adults and adults with disabilities <br />through recreational, educational and social opportunities which <br />support an individual's ability to live independently. <br />Article Iu. Section 1. The objectives of the Advisory Council shall be: <br />A. To determine the needs and/or desires, problems and <br />potentials of older adults and adults with disabilities. <br />B. To enhance community awareness regarding the Senior <br />Centers and their functions. <br />C. To identify resources and to assist in securing resources <br />from the private and public sector. <br />D. To monitor and evaluate the securing and utilization of the <br />Senior Centers Trust Fund. <br />E. To serve in an advisory capacity to the Cabarrus County <br />Active Living and Parks Commission and the Cabarrus <br />County Board of Commissioners. <br />Article IV Section 1. The objective of the Senior Centers shall be : <br />A. To offer a range of services and activities that respond to <br />participant needs, interests, and differences. <br />B.
