I JI <br />i <br />Proposed Fee <br />The entire work plan outlined above envisions 376 hours — or about two months of work. <br />My rate for long -term government work is $20,000 per month. <br />I estimate our expenses — travel, hotel, meals, IMPLAN data, telephone, copying, etc. — <br />to be about $5,000. <br />I therefore propose a total contract of $45,000. <br />I don't know how the county prefers to structure contracts. For what it's worth, I would <br />prefer 1 /a on signing, 1 /a on completion of the data analysis, 1 /4 on completion of the first <br />draft of the report, and 1 /a after the public presentation. <br />Your Responsibilities <br />The work plan above assumes that you, the County, and the Council will be responsible <br />for certain things. Among them: <br />- Copyediting, laying out, designing, and printing the final report (if you want a <br />hard copy). <br />- Providing with any reports, studies, or research materials you would like <br />included (besides the raw data I develop and federal data). <br />- Organizing the public meetings, including booking space, equipment, and <br />publicizing. <br />- Reaching out to media strategically along the way. <br />- Designating one individual who will serve as our point of contact for this <br />project. <br />Attachment number 2 <br />' G -5 Page 296 <br />
