<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 20, 2009 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business -Addition to the Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Piedmont Behavioral Healthcare (PBH) -Resolution to Approve a Capital Project of <br />Piedmont Area Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse <br />Authority <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />PBH plans to construct a 40,000 square foot office building on Kannapolis Parkway to <br />consolidate their administrative and service management offices. In 1999, the Cabarrus <br />County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 1999-20 allowing PBH to <br />acquire title to real property. The resolution further stipulates that PBH will not proceed <br />with any capital project in any county without the close consultation and approval of the <br />appropriate Board of Commissioners regarding all aspects of a capital building project. <br />The cost of the project is estimated not to exceed $10 million and no county funds are <br />required. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to adopt resolution <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />1 Minute <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Pam L.
