(Trigon) is pleased to be on your project team to provide construction materials <br />testing and special inspection services for the above~referenced project. This letter is based on our review <br />of the project plans and specifications, Statement of Special Inspections, overall project schedule provided <br />by Tumer Construction Company dated June I, 2008, out recent conversations with Mr. Will Prescott of <br />Tumer Construction and Mr. Mark Rickher of Laurene & ltickher, and our previous work experience during <br />construction of the Law Enforcement Center, Jail Annex, Tunnel, and Administration Buildings (Trigon <br />Project No. 023-06-016). The following sections of this proposal outline our understanding of the project, <br />the proposed scope of services, and estimated cost for performingthese services. <br />PROJECT INFORMATION <br />The referenced project is located directly behind the Sheriffs office and administration building in <br />Concord, North Carolina. The project will consist of the construction of a new six-story precast housing <br />facility. The housing facility will encompass a building footprint of approximately 33,000 squaze feet, <br />with a net total area of approximately 137,000 square feet. Construction will consist of a precast <br />concrete structure with cast-in-place concrete leveling slabs supported on a shallow foundation system <br />and interior reinforced masonry walls. Construction will also consist of steel framed stairwells and a <br />causeway that adjoins the existing Sheriff's office and Administration building to the proposed housing <br />facility. It is our understanding that the project duration is approximately 24 months, with a substantial <br />completion date of August 23, 2010.
