<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 12/18/06 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # &-Cf <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Kannapolis City Schools - Land Option <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />The Kannapolis City Schools Board of Education has identified 29.928 acres of property <br />adjacent to Kannapolis Middle School that is available for sale for a future school. At this <br />point, the grade level for the new school has not been determined. The School Board is <br />requesting $40,000 from the County to place an option on the property and to perform soil <br />tests and environmental studies.
