Weatherization Assistant Program <br /> CFDA #81.042 <br />Heating Air and Replacement Program <br /> <br /> Contract Between <br />Salisbury-Rowan Community Service Council, ]:nc. <br />And <br /> Cabarrus County Department of Aging <br /> <br />Federal Tax ]:D #560840:[96 *AMENDMENT I * <br /> <br />Pa~ies to the Contract: <br /> <br />This cOntract entered into by and between the Salisbury-Rowan Community <br />Service Council, Inc. hereinafter referred to as the "Council." Cabarrus County <br />Department of Aging hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor." <br /> <br />Effective Period: <br /> <br />This contract is effective July 1, 2001 and terminates on June 30, 2002. <br /> <br />Subcontracting: <br /> <br />The Contractor shall not subcontract any of the work contemplated under this <br />Contract without obtaining prior written approval from the Council. An approved <br />subcontract shall be subjected shall be subject to all conditions of this Contract. <br />Only the subcontractors specified in the Contractor's approved work plan and <br />budget (Attachment I) are to be considered approved upon award of the Contract. <br />Any other subcontract hall be submitted to the'Council Administrator for review <br />and approved prior to execution. The Contractor shall be responsible for the <br />performance of any subcontractor. <br /> <br />A. Heating, Air and Replacement Program: <br /> <br />The Contractor is authorized to sub-contract work without obtaining prior <br />written approval from the Council. The sub-contractor must be licensed, <br />bondable, and have liability insurance coverage. The Heating, Air, Repair <br />and Replacement Policy will be mandatory. <br /> <br />Independent contractor: <br /> <br />The Contractor is and shall be deemed to be an independent Contractor in the <br />performance of this contract and, as such shall be soley responsible for the work <br />to be performed and for the supervision of its employ_ees. The Contractor <br />represents that it has, or shall secure at its own expense, all personnel and <br />subcontractors required in performing the service under this agreement. Such <br />-employees and subcontractors shall not be employees of, or have any individual <br />contractual relationship with the Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
