Resolution No. 2002- <br /> <br /> CABARI~US COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> RESOLUTION <br />RESOLVING UNCERTAIN BOUNDARY BETWEEN <br />MECKLENBURG COUNTY AND CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, some uncertainty exists as to the precise location of the boundary, at certain <br /> places, between Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, pursuant to N.C.G.S. 153A- <br /> 18, appointed Jonathan Marshall to be a special commissioner to supervise the surveying, <br /> marking and mapping of the boundary between Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mecklenburg County also appointed a special commissioner to supervise <br /> the surveying, marking and mapping; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the special commissioner for Mecklenburg County and the special <br />commissioner for Cabarrus County have now agreed upon a survey showing an acceptable <br />boundary between the two counties, a copy of a map showing the surveyed boundary being <br />attached as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by reference ("Map"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Caban'us County has agreed that <br />the boundary between Mecklenburg County and Cabarrus County shall be as shown on the Map; <br />now, therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners does hereby ratify the <br />survey of the boundary between Mecklenburg County and Cabarrus County as shown on the <br />Map attached as Exhibit A; and be it further <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that once the Map has been ratified by the Board of Commissioners of <br />Cabarrus County, the date of each resolution of ratification and the page in the minutes of each <br />Board of Commissioners where the resolution shall be found shall be placed on the Map before <br />recordation; and be it further <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
