Cabarrus County Findings and Recommendations Report <br /> <br /> SECTION I <br /> <br />PROJECT BACKGROUND <br /> <br />RSM McGladrey's National Communications Consulting Group was engaged to assist Cabarrus <br />County with the design and competitive selection of a new integrated voice and data <br />communications system to address the current and future requirements of the County. <br /> <br />To accomplish this objective, the following work steps were completed. <br /> <br />1. Formalized Request For Proposal (RFP). <br /> <br /> We prepared a detailed Request For Proposal (RFP), which provided vendors with <br /> information required to make a specific proposal. <br /> <br />2. Provide RFP to County and Coordinate Purchasing Arrangements. <br /> <br /> We provided a final copy of this document to you for your review, and made adaptations, <br /> as necessary. <br /> <br /> Release RFP to Vendors. <br /> <br /> The RFP was distributed to potential vendors. The vendors were allowed adequate time <br /> to prepare a detailed proposal. <br /> <br /> Review and Evaluate Vendor Proposals. <br /> <br /> We compared vendor proposals to the system specifications, evaluated each proposal <br /> from the standpoint of the selection criteria, and obtained additional clarification from <br /> vendors, as needed. <br /> <br /> Prepared a report of recommendations. <br /> <br /> The report is attached for your review. <br /> <br />0 <br /> <br />© 2000, RSM McGladrey, Inc. <br /> <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
