July 25, 1997 <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Planning Services Division <br />Concord, NC 28026 <br /> <br />Dear Gentlemen, <br /> <br />In regards to the proposed change in the Agricultural - Open Zoning District in the northwest part of Cabarrus <br />County to Low Density Residential zoning. <br /> <br />As taxpayers we would like to express our concern on the rezoning issue. <br /> <br />We are against it. You are taking the rights away from the individual property owners to do what he wants <br />with his own property. The business and agricultural area should not come under the same issue as single <br />wide mobile home. This is taking all rights away from the owner and putting restrictions on it and the <br />younger generation. The committee is saying you can't rent, lease, or have public income from your business <br />when you are no longer capability of operating the business yourself. We would like to see this handed down <br />to the next generation.
