The Chair introduced the fourth item on the Agenda, Zoning Text Amendment, <br />Petition 97-04(T): <br /> <br />ApplicanE Planning Division Staff <br />Request:. Zoning Text Amendment <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission <br />from the Cabarrus County Planning Services Division to amend Chapter 4. <br />Overlay Zones-Part 1. Watershed Overlay Zone-Section 4.7-Appeal <br />FROM: Any decision that overturns the Zoning Administrator shall be recorded <br />and submitted to the Supervisor of the Classification and Standards Group <br />Water Quality Section Division of Environmental Management on an annual <br />basis. The record shall include the apPropriate section of the Board's adopted <br />minutes of the meeting. <br />TO: Any decision that overturns the Zoning Administrator shall be submitted <br />for each calendar year to the Division of Water Quality on a annual basis. The <br />record shall include the appropriate section of the Board's adopted minutes of <br />the meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Jonathan B. Marshall, Planning Services Director, addressed the Board <br />presenting Petition 97-04(T) stating the Division of Water Quality has sent us a <br />notice that they have reviewed our Watershed Overlay Zone and they <br />recommended this one change. It is basically the record keeping change, that if <br />this Board chooses to overrule the Zoning AdmLrtistrators decision on a <br />watershed overlay issue, then once each calendar year, we are to notify them of <br />those decisions made by this Board and provide them with minutes of the <br />meeting and the Board's basis for the overruling the administrator. <br /> <br />The Chair opened the Public Hearing on Petition 97-04(T). <br /> <br />The Chair closed the Public Hearing on Petition 97-04(T). <br /> <br />There being no further comments, Mr. Hobbs MOTIONED to approve Petition <br />97-04(T), seconded by Mr. Drye. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />The Chair introduced the fifth item on the Agenda, Zoning Text Amendment, <br />Petition 97-05(T): <br /> <br />Applicanlz Planning Division Staff <br />Reques~ Zoning Text Amendment <br /> <br /> This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission <br />from the Cabarrus County Planning Services Division to amend Section 3-7 <br />"Statements Regarding the Purpose of Zoning Districts". To include Craft <br />Shops/Antique Stores as a permitted use in Agriculture/Open Space; Limited <br /> <br /> <br />
