Cabarrus Family Recovery Center. Offices of substance abuse counselors and site
of individua~ group and family counseling for referred CBA clients.
C. Cabarrus Behavioral Healthcare. Offices of mental health therapists and administrativ,
personnel. Site of individual, group, family counseling, and psychiatric services.
Areas of concern that may affect success:
Youth who are under the supervision of the Juvenile Court have a long history of
problematic behavior and may have a long history of substance abuse. In addition,
many of the families have developed dysfunctional patterns of interaction which
have exacerbated the inappropriate behavior exhibited by the youth. Because of
these factors, it is essential that the entire family be involved in the treatment
process. It is also important that the various agencies involved with the family
are in agreement regarding the course and goals of treatment. Failure of the family
and community to be involved in the youth's treatment greatly decreases the likelihood
of succ~$s.
