Salisbury -Rowan Community Action Agency, Ix. <br />b. Community Resources: <br />Salisbury -Rowan Community Action Agency, Inc. (SRCAA) partners with many nonprofit human <br />service agencies, schools, colleges, community development organizations, governmental entities <br />and faith organizations to aid our participants In reaching their goals and to change the way <br />business is conducted in the community on their behalf. Managers and staff in both counties <br />actively build partnerships and work together with those partners to address poverty causes and <br />seek solutions for the eradication of the barriers to economic self-sufficiency for Rowan and <br />Cabarrus County residents. <br />(F) Resources Needed: <br />c. Agency Resources <br />SRCAA continues to enhance its internal systems. The information technology systems used by <br />our staff provide outcome data; however, there are multiple departments using different systems. <br />Since January 2013, Information technology (IT) was outsourced to improve internal IT <br />communication systems. This advancement allows staff working with families to serve them more <br />efficiently and expediently. Other resources are needed to develop a database system for interface <br />and tracking the work being done with families agency wide. Reporting of outcomes to various <br />funders would be greatly enhanced if these resources come available. <br />d. Community Resources: <br />Community resources that decrease the rising numbers of homeless persons and or those in <br />need of Affordable Housing in Cabarrus and Rowan County is a resource needed. Community <br />Service providers have identified the need for increased strategies to address housing and <br />homelessness. Additional community resources, such as the newly formed Homeless Task force <br />in both Rowan and Cabarrus County, are working to develop a community -wide strategy to end <br />homelessness through affordable housing and other immediate solutions for low-income families <br />to reduce homelessness or transiency. This is important to our participants to continue to be <br />informed of different avenues and strategies to expedite placements in subsidized housing <br />options. <br />Section III: Objective and Strategy <br />(G) Objective Statement: <br />Objective Statement: <br />To provide support and comprehensive services to assist eighty-five (65) new individualsRamilies <br />and sixty (60) carryover families to increase their skills and income to rise above poverty level by <br />June 30, 2019 <br />Strategies for Objective: <br />Provide support and comprehensive services to low-income families and individuals to develop <br />occupational skills and increase income so they may rise above the poverty income level <br />Fiscal Year 2018-19 Community Services Block Grant Application <br />Page 22 of 37 Attachment number 2 \n <br />F-6 Page 110 <br />
