Section 3. The Executive Committee shall serve as the Cabarrus County Senior Centers Advisory Council's Ethics Committee and make appropriate decisions related to unresolved ethical issues as necessary. Section 4. Actions of the Executive Committee must be reported and approved at the next meeting of the Advisory Council. All such actions are subject to revision by the Council. Article VIII. Section 1. The Chairperson, with the concurrence of the Advisory Council, shall appoint committee chairmen and members of each committee. Vacancies within committees shall be filled by the Chairperson upon recommendation of the committee chairperson. (Additional committee members may be recruited by the committee chairperson as deemed necessary. These additional committee members may or may not be members of the Advisory Council.) If a committee chairman position becomes vacant for any reason, the Chairperson of the Advisory Council shall appoint a replacement. Section 2. The Chairperson of the Advisory Council, Superintendent, and the Program Manager of the Senior Centers shall be ex- officio members of all committees and, as such, notified of all meetings. Section 3. There will be various standing committees, including but not limited to: 1. Active Living Committee: 2. Accountability Committee: 3. Health and Wellness Committee: 4. Special Events Committee: Section 4. Special Committees shall be appointed by the Chairperson of the Advisory Council. Section 5. All standing committees will function in an "Advisory" capacity only. Article IX. Section 1. Regular meetings of the Advisory Council shall be held on the third Monday of each month and conducted under the general parliamentary procedures of Roberts' Rules of Order. Section 2. Special meetings may be called upon notice to each member by the Chairperson, or upon written request from a majority of the Advisory Council members. 4 Attachment number 1 H -3 Page 249
