PRELIMINARY MASTER PLAN PROCESS <br />CONCEPTUAL MASTER PLAN <br />Task 4 -Steering Committee Meeting <br />The Planning Team, along with the Steering Committee which included members of the Cabarrus County <br />Parks and Recreation Department, worked together to review the master planning process, site analysis <br />data, opportunities and constraints, and the Concept Plan developed for the site. The Steering Committee, <br />Planning Team, and the former property owner conducted a site visit in order for committee members to <br />get a better feel for the site constraints and opportunities presented. Comments from the discussions at the <br />project meetings and site visit were collected and utilized for the next work phase. <br />WORK PRODUCTS: <br />- Graphics from Task 2, 3, and 4 <br />- Meeting minutes <br />PHASE II -PRELIMINARY MASTER PLAN <br />Task 5 -Refine Preliminary Master Plan <br />From the input gathered, a Preliminary Master Plan was developed. The Design Team, along with the <br />architect assisting on the project, developed sketches and graphic drawings to portray major elements <br />of the park. Based on the outcome of survey responses and the input of the Steering Committee, several <br />elements of the conceptual plan were removed due to lack of public interest and site constraints.
