The purpose of the charrette is to develop real, creative solutions <br />in a focused session with key decision makers present. <br />• Simultaneously examine all of the Plan alternatives and gain an understanding of <br />the interrelationship of the elements; <br />• Explore the many choices while being mindful of the issues and opportunities <br />pertaining to the plan elements; and, <br />• Select a preferred alternative, or at least a set of policies that will be the basis for a <br />preferred alternative. <br />The Consultant will include the AC and other key County and Town representatives and <br />stakeholders to participate in this charrette. (Note: The list of invitees will be determined <br />with assistance from the Client, and Client will be responsible for inviting those on the <br />list by phone and/or letter. The Client will assist the Consultant by securing a location for <br />the charrette.) An open house will be held in the first half of the charrette to provide <br />citizens an opportunity to discuss initial ideas with the project team. The concepts will <br />then be presented for evaluation at a community meeting to identify the preferred <br />features of each concept. <br />E. Master Plan <br />Based on the results of the previous step, the Consultant will refine the preferred <br />alternative, generated during the charrette, that incorporates preferred features of the <br />concept(s), as determined through input received at the Second Community Meeting. <br />F. Preparation of Development Illustrations <br />Up to two development illustrations will be prepared to further describe key areas on the <br />master plan map. Scenarios will be in the form of plan vignettes, sections, and/or <br />perspective sketches. The two areas will be identified initially in the planning charrette <br />and confirmed by the Client and the AC prior to beginning work on these illustrations. <br />G. Phase II Summary /Advisory Committee Meeting <br />In a regularly scheduled meeting with the AC, the Consultant will discuss the results of <br />Phase II of the planning effort and draft recommendations. <br />H. OPTIONAL Community Open House -Two Meetings <br />Up to two community open house meetings will be held at the Client's request in <br />locations selected and secured by the Client.
