3un 12 02 09:15a nanc~ ~ ?0~ 9~6~?0 p.~ <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br /> i Food Service/Refrigeration - This service shall include but not be limited to, <br /> boilers, coolers, ranges, refrigerators, walk-in coolers, cookers, ovens of any sort <br /> (including convection and microwave), garbage disposal and compaction, flyers, <br /> rotisseries, broilers, slicers, batter mixers, all kitchen appliances of whatever kind <br /> or nature, including warmers, chillem, braising pans, stoves, ice machines. The <br /> Child Nutrition Department of the County and the City o£ Kannapolis shall bc <br />.invoiced separately for all parts (but not labor), repaired or replaced by the <br /> Department pertaining to this specific category. <br /> <br /> All of the above maintenance and repair services shall hereafter be collectiveIy referred to <br />as the "Services." <br /> <br /> 4. Department Employment/Director of Services - The Departmont ahall bc under <br /> the control mid supcrvislon of the Director of the Department (the "Director"). The Director will <br /> report directlY to fhe Shperintendent of the Cabarrus Board ("Cabarrus Superintendent") until <br /> such time when (and if) the County consolidates its maintenance and repair services into the <br /> Department. If COunty consolidation occurs, thc Boards and the County will reevaluate the <br /> reporting requirements Of the Director at that time. The Director will provide written reports to <br /> the Cabarms S penntentient at least once per quarter. In thc event thc Director resigns, retires or <br /> is terminated, the Superintendents of the Boards will nominate and appoint a new Director who <br /> is mutually satist~mtory i to' the County and thc Boards. Thc Cabarms Board will provide the <br /> Director with an enumeration of his responsibilities, including without limitatiou, monitoring all <br /> Services set forth as wel! as Services provided under any contract with third parties. <br /> <br /> 5. "Annual Maintenance and Repair Plan - The Director is charged with thc <br /> responsibility 6f condurting a survey of the School Facilities and shall use this survey in <br /> preparing an atmual Mal!~tenance and Repair Plm~ (the "Plan") which covers the School Facilities <br /> and all responsibilities set forth herein, as well as the status of completing those responsibilities <br /> as of the date of the Plan. The Plan will comain file proposed Services schedule mid budget for <br /> the upcoming fiscal year and slmll prioritize all School Facilities repair projects. The Director <br /> will present the Plan to the Superintendents for the Boards (the "Superintendents") by March 1, <br /> 2003 and by March I" of each year thereafter during the term of this Agreement. The Plan must <br /> receive approval by the Superintendents. The approved Plan will then be presented as a <br /> component of the schori' budget request to the County Manager and the County Bom'd of <br /> Commissioners. no later than April 15, 2003 and no later than April 15 of each year thereafter. <br /> <br /> 6. :Funding ~- hnplementation of this Agreement is contingent upon the County <br />Board of Comnfissioner.q allocating to each Board respectively, for each fiscal year this <br />Agreement is in effect, a minimum of $1,006.00 per pupil in each Board's school system, based <br />upon the per pUPil ADM iNumbers allocated to each Board. During each year this Agreement is <br />in etl~ct, the Boards ~vill ieach contribute to the Department funds for the Services as more fully <br />set forth herein (the "Fund"). (However, in the event the County merges its maintenance and <br />repair staff into; the Department, the County and the Boards will, at that time, reevaluate the basis <br />for allocation of contributions among the Parties).
