Chamber of Commerce <br /> Consumers <br /> Cooperative Christ/an Ministry <br /> Cabarrus Victims Assistance Network <br /> Cabarrus County Schools <br /> Kannapohs City Schools <br /> Health Board <br /> Cabarrus Health Alhance Board <br /> Piedmont Area Behavioral Health Board <br /> Centralina Council of Governments <br />' Cabarrus Board of County Commissioners <br />Cabarrus County Social Services Board <br />(At large) <br /> Housing Authority <br /> <br />(A list of individuals who have served on the Committee is included as an <br />attachment). <br /> <br />The director of social services serves as facilitator, and agency staff provide <br />support to the Committee. <br /> <br />The Committee has had the following roles: <br /> <br /> 1) Assessing needs of families to be served. <br /> 2) Securing public comment. <br />3) Detenaining how community agencies and organizations can <br /> collaborate and cooperate in the provision of needed services and <br /> resources: <br />4) Recornm'$nding to the Board of Commissioners plan provisions <br /> which will help in achieving community and statewide Work First <br /> Program goals, and <br />5) Contributing to the community's implementing and carrying out a <br /> welfare reform program plan. <br /> <br />The primary focus of the Committee to date has been the identification and <br />marshaling of resources needed to address the specific barriers faced by <br />TANF recipiems within the community in their efforts to achieve economic <br />self-support through employment. <br /> <br /> <br />
