Multi-Jurisdictional <br /> <br />1.3.2 <br /> <br />1.3.3 <br /> <br />1.3.4 <br /> <br />1.3.5 <br /> <br />1.3.6 <br /> <br />Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance <br /> <br />Kick-Off Charette <br />FL&C will conduct this initial meeting with staffand the Steering <br />Committee to clearly define the roles of the Steering Committee, staff', <br />Planning Commissions and the governing bodies for the Constituent <br />Jurisdictions, and to develop a common understanding of the project scope. <br />An additional purpose' of this initial joint workshop is to identify portions <br />of the existing zoning and subdivision regulations of the Constituent <br />Jurisdictions that are effective, ineffective or confusing. FL&C will present <br />the regulatory alternatives and help the Committee select techniques which <br />should be incorporated into the Ordinance. <br /> <br />Initial Charette <br />Consultant will facilitate a joint workshop with the Board of County <br />Commissioners, Planning Commissioners, City Council members, and the <br />Steering Committee. The workshop will focus on orienting these groups to the <br />planning process, providing background information and identifying primary <br />planning concerns of workshop participants. <br /> <br />Community Charette <br />Consultant Mil conduct a community-wide workshop to identify issues which <br />are vital to continued prosperity and quality of life in the Constituent <br />Jurisdictions. Consultant will use this workshop to establish a common <br />tmowledge base, a shared vision of the community's future and consensus for <br />specific community policies and actions. Consultant w/ll summarize input from <br />this community workshop in the Needs, Issues and Opportunities Report <br />described in Task 1.5. <br /> <br />Committee Work Session <br />Consultant ~hll conduct a work session with the Steering Committee. This <br />work session will be to review the initial assessment, discuss the issues <br />identified in earlier workshops, develop a key issues list, and establish an in/rial <br />Ordinance outline. <br /> <br />Focus Groups <br />The FL&C Team will conduct focus group sessions to identify the concerns of <br />special interest groups in the County as well as the Constituent Jurisdictions. <br />These meetings will provide the opportunity for input from public agencies and <br />other independent service providers, business groups, the development <br />community and citizens' groups. The meetings will provide a basis for <br />devleopment of regulations and actions that foster cooperation and <br />coordination between the Constituent Jurisdictions, other public agencies, other <br />services providers and private interests. <br /> <br />Freilich, Leitner & Carlisle · Jordan Jones & Goulding <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
