Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Minutes <br />March 12,2019 <br />CUSE2019-00002 -Request to amend Conditional Use Permit for Extraction of Earth Materials . <br />The Applicant is Vulcan Construction Materials. The property is located at 15580 Old Beatty <br />Ford Road. (PIN#: 6603-57-8665,6603-59-9632 and 6604-50-4443) <br />The Chair said there is a request to table. <br />Mr. Josh Jurius, Planner, addressed the Board stating we got a little excited about this project and <br />it was kind of riding the time frame that it could have gone this month or we had to wait until <br />next month. We decided to advertise it, but unfortunately, we were not able to get all of the kinks <br />worked out and thus are requesting to Table until next month's meeting. <br />There being no further discussion, Mr. Brent Rockett, MOTIONED, SECONDED by Mr. Adam <br />Dagenhart to Table CUSE2019-00002 -Request to amend Conditional Use Permit for <br />Extraction of Earth Materials until next months (April) meeting. The vote was unanimous. <br />Old Business -Board of Adjustment Function: <br />T he Chair introduced Petition CUSE20 18-00004 -Conditional Use Permit for Public Service <br />Facility (Solar Farm). Applicant is NC 102 Project, LLC. <br />The Chair asked if there are any board members that have any conflicts of interest or information <br />related to the case that needs to be disclosed. <br />The Chair said he had a visit today with Mr. Marty Stewart. He came to my place of business. I <br />did not know what he was going to ask or talk about. He is sorry if he was rude to him today. So, <br />I just wanted to let everybody know what happened. We do have some mutual friends, John <br />Philips and so forth. At this time, does anybody else have anything? <br />There being no further comments he called on Ms. Susie Morris, Planning and Zoning Manger, <br />to give the staff report. <br />Ms. Morris addressed the Board stating that based on what happened at our last meeting, Staff <br />went back and tried to review the documents that have been provided and passed up to the <br />Board. What you have in front of you this evening, is a memo and also a packet that has <br />information related to each of the items that we need to make our way through, as part of this <br />process. <br />As you know, the purpose of this amendment is twofold. One is to try to present a new site plan <br />to the Board to attempt to rectify some violations that happened on site. The second one was to <br />make some technical corrections that needed to be made to the plan related to the acreage on the <br />plan that was submitted initially and then also based on the layout of the plan because that did <br />change as the project moved forward and changed hands to a different developer. <br />12
